I may have mentioned my love for Depeche Mode in a post not too long ago. I'm so very very psyched and excited about the new album they have coming out in a few months. Now I don't consider myself their biggest fan, nor do I really consider myself a rabid fan of the group. I love love love the music, I think Martin Gore is a genius.
While packing up my daughters stuffed animals and toys this morning/afternoon I watched/listened to Germany's Echo awards show from start to almost finish in order to watch the world premier of their new single, Wrong.

Loving Depeche Mode makes you a geek? I don't get that.
U2's newest is coming out next week; and Rolling Stone has given it 5 full stars. Does loving U2 make me a dinosaur? I don't think so. I do think, however, that sensibilities in this country are horribly skewed. If the artist in question is liked or loved, then it's nobody's business to judge them.
The term geek was used in the most lovingly way possible. I used it to illustrate my adoration and the (in my oppinion) extreme lengths I will go through to see, hear them. I think that the term Geek is no longer a negative. I don't care if people don't care for my musical tastes. That doesn't bother me. I just thought as I was maniacally searching for the link and then sitting or rather packing through two plus hours of german that my need to hear a new song was a little funny.
Dinosaurs are extinct so I really wouldn't call you one :) I hope you enjoy the new U2 as much as I'm digging the new Mode.
